Exhibition
A single road. Twelve barns. Hunters Creek Road runs through Lapeer County the way memory runs through a family — quietly, with more weight than its size suggests. This exhibition is a dedicated study of one corridor, returned to across seasons and years. The barns here are not representative of the Thumb. They are specific to this road, this light, this particular quality of silence. It is the first curated exhibition in the archive and the most concentrated body of work within it.

This Month’s Light
The same barn photographed in March and again in August is not the same photograph. Michigan light changes month by month — the flat grey of February, the green weight of July, the long gold of October, the hard white of December. This wing of the archive is organized not by what was found, but by when the shutter opened. It is a different way of moving through the same landscape, and for some visitors it is the right one.

Beyond the Frame
